Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how I collect and use your personal data when you visit chobolab.dev or contact me through the site. I'm based in Poland (EU) and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Ivan Chobotiuk (Chobotiuk Ivan), a freelance developer operating as chobolab.dev, based in Goleniow, Poland.
For any privacy-related question or to exercise your rights, contact me at chobolab.dev@gmail.com.
2. What data I collect
Contact form: the name you provide, your chosen contact method and contact details (Telegram / WhatsApp / email), and the content of your message.
I do not knowingly collect any special-category data. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your message.
I do not currently run web analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking on this site.
3. Why I use it and the legal basis
I use the data you submit solely to read and respond to your enquiry and to discuss a possible project (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) consent, given via the form, and Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) — steps prior to a contract and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
I do not use your data for marketing and do not sell or share it for advertising.
4. How your message is delivered
Form submissions are delivered to my private chat via the Telegram Bot API (Telegram FZ-LLC). This means the content of your message passes through Telegram's infrastructure. See Telegram's own privacy policy for how they handle data.
The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which processes technical request data (such as IP address) to serve the site and for security. Vercel acts as a processor / infrastructure provider.
5. How long I keep it
I keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting project correspondence, and no longer than 24 months unless we enter into a contract that requires longer retention.
You can ask me to delete your data sooner at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these, email chobolab.dev@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl) or your local EU data protection authority.
7. Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies / local storage needed for it to function (for example, remembering your language choice). These do not track you.
If privacy-friendly analytics are added in the future, they will only run after you give consent via the cookie banner, and you can decline.
8. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. Telegram, Vercel) may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Client confidentiality
I treat project details and client communications as confidential and do not disclose them to third parties except where needed to deliver the work (for example hosting or payment providers) or where the law requires it.
If you prefer greater privacy, you may ask to use a pseudonym, business name, or preferred contact handle in day-to-day project communication. Where legally and practically possible, I will accommodate that.
Some situations still require identifying information — for example written contracts, tax invoices, anti-money-laundering checks for certain payments, or lawful requests from authorities. I will explain what is required before we start.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date above reflects the latest revision.
